Responsibilities: 

  • You will be required to participate as an individual contributor and team member with senior CMAAS practitioners and other professionals (e.g. auditors) on complex accounting- and financial reporting matters. A proven track record in working effectively in multi-national and multi-cultural teams in a variety of environments and countries.
  • Developing yourself personally, taking a keen interest in trends in financial reporting standards and enterprise asset management and the impact on our clients so you can help shape their thinking and our success in the market
  • The role also requires that the candidate is able to collaborate with colleagues across different competences within our global team (e.g. fixed asset tagging & verification experts) to bring our clients high value solutions 
  • Based on clients’ requirements the candidates will provide practical risk and control focused functional Oracle ERP expertise to discuss and design potential solutions, or will quality assure and recommend changes to designs provided by other parties. 
  • Working with colleagues in all Middle Eastern offices on client work and internal initiatives as well as with international teams where appropriate; and, 
  • Keeping up to date with current trends from the region and from across the world.
  • As a Senior Associate in the team, the role requires you to build relationships to create exceptional client and people experience, working effectively as part of a diverse delivery team and delegating tasks effectively and providing coaching and direction to more junior team members. 
  • The role sits within a rapidly growing part of PwC’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) team within our CMAAS Middle East practice. You will be an integral part of the team responsible for the delivery of a variety of EAM solutions across a range of sectors. You will have access to all of the latest training and development tools and the support of the wider PwC network.



Requirements: 
 

  • The candidate will be achievement oriented with the ability to be flexible and adaptive on a daily basis. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team with a fast pace and a high energy that will translate into a high quality output. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant subject areas such as Accounting & Financial Management.
  • Preferable qualifications: The following qualification(s) or studying towards these qualification (s) are preferable and beneficial for the candidate to perform the role: CA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Years of Experience: 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in finance & accounting consulting, with a specific focus on enterprise asset management, relevant asset management business processes and application of asset componentisation requirements in compliance with the applicable accounting & financial reporting standards, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards, with specific focus on IAS 16 “Property, Plant and Equipment” and enterprise asset management.
  • Exposure to previous enterprise asset management projects, preferably in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in a consulting capacity.
  • Strong passion for client service delivery and collaborative team work.
  • Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise work load whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. The role offers some flexibility in working hours, depending on the specific projects and client delivery expectations.
  • Proven IT skills in the following programmes: Microsoft Office, with proven skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Fluent in English but multilingual Arabic speaker preferable.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be reporting directly to your managers and the leadership team and will be provided with the opportunity to contribute in our medium to long term strategy.
  • The role requires the candidate to have a solid knowledge of IFRS and being able to conduct in depth researches on complex matters, prepare technical papers for discussion with senior members in the team and global industry experts, and apply his critical thinking to provide our clients with high value and technically robust solutions;
  • You will be expected to build and maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with clients and colleagues. You will be expected to have significant interactions with senior company management teams, bankers, lawyers and other advisors typically involved in a high profile regional transactions;
  • As a Senior Associate, you will be required to assist the project managers and the leadership team in delivering the long term vision and strategy to continue grow the business. With appropriate supervision and coaching from your managers, you will take ownership in project management, project budgeting and finance management on a portfolio of clients. A key part of delivery will also involve the creation, review and delivery of complex client deliverables which will include executive level reporting through to detailed design documentation. 
  • You will also be required to develop yourself personally, taking a keen interest in the Accounting Structuring offering and the impact on our clients so you can help shape their thinking and our success in the market;
  • You will be primarily based in our Riyadh office, serving our local clients, but also working with colleagues in all Saudi Arabia (such as Jeddah and Dammam) as well as within the Middle Region, depending on the business requirements;
  • You will be anticipated to have a large amount of interaction with the other PwC lines of services (such as tax, legal, deals, etc.) which requires a high-level understanding of the wider PwC offering and trends outside your core area of expertise. The ideal candidate should have a strong problem solving mindset in addition to being robust in accounting technical matters;

  • Years of Experience: 3-5 years of audit or other relevant experience in a Big 4 firm. Any accounting advisory experience is beneficial. Similarly, any experience in the GCC would be beneficial;
  • Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise work load whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines;
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and Arabic. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS and general accounting principles;
  • Strong interest and passion for enhancing technical accounting skills;

  • Based on request requirements the candidates will provide the service against agreed deadlines and monitors the time spent which is recorded on a time sheet system daily.
