Job Description & Qualifications

 

Role synopsis

The Technical/Administration Assistant-Wells will provide primarily technical assistance and secondarily administrative assistance and
support to the reporting Supervisor/Manager and his team. The role will require database development and analysis, document and informationmanagement of confidential nature, secretarial and administrative
support, communications support, and other duties as required.

Key accountabilities

Through good organizational and communication skills, to support the smooth day to day running of the team they are supporting. Will be helping the team in preparing and/or changing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project documents. Will develop charts and analyse data
using MS Excel. Will develop and manage data bases. The responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Organize internal and external meetings – venue/room logistics, issuing agendas, inviting attendees, monitoring responses.
  • Support visits and events by the Team.
  • Book and complete all travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, hire car, taxis etc. for all Drilling & Completions Oman staff as required.
  • Prepare& Maintain team organizational charts, distribution and telephone lists.
  • Act as fire warden for the Team
  • Supports the team in maintaining archived, existing and future filing system, well files, databases, documentation, etc..
  • Performs numerous ‘housekeeping’ tasks that would normally have to be performed by Engineering Staff.
  • Ensuring that the daily reports are filed and that the MOG versions are prepared and sent out via the Support Team.

Essential Education

Diploma or higher diploma in administration or business related fields

Essential experience and job requirements

• This role only open for Omani nationals
A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English and Arabic with excellent written and communications skills.
• Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Projects are essential

Desirable criteria & qualifications

• Worked in similar role in an Oil & Gas Environment will be an advantage.
• Worked on preparing Organisation Charts.
