Role Summary:

 Here at GE we look for Maintenance Technicians across various experience levels and disciplines. As a Maintenance Technician you will be required to carry out day to day maintenance activity. Including carrying out simple routine building & equipment maintenance task and repairs. 

 

Essential Responsibilities: 

Main Responsibilities- Perform disassembly and assembly of engines and modules in accordance with Company’s documentation and manufacturer's manuals.- Maintenance and care of tools and equipment in the work area.SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS- Carry out day to day Engine Maintenance Task as assigned. - Ensure punctuality at place of work.- Observe all safety precautions.- Perform work as assigned and in the manner as specified ensuring that all quality and safety requirements and practices are met.- Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained, utilized and promptly returned in good condition after use. Ensure that tools at work area are calibrated.- Ensure work area is clean and that all support equipment are positioned or returned to their appropriate place of storage- Carry out day to day preventive or predictive maintenance activity tools and equipment at the respective work area.- Liaise with facilities Team for Repairs and Preventive Maintenance activity on facilities & equipment.- Assist other technicians in other maintenance activities- Generate simple work instructions for equipment / facility.- Propose improvement to on day to day activities and process improvements. 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

Min Qualification: Diploma in aircraft maintenance for qualified training Schools eg. MIAT, TAFE College, Nilai College and EASA Part 66 maintenance license holders or equivalent.- Min Years of Experience: 5 year of relevant working experience an aviation related field.- Knowledge in Mechanical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering. - Basic knowledge in Microsoft word & excel applications. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams, learn new skills quickly and share knowledge with colleagues

Job Description & Qualifications

Essential Responsibilities: As a Field Service Representative, you will:

  • Utilize the proper procedures and equipment when handling chemicals (examples of chemicals handled: HCl, NaOH, H2SO4, N2H4, Al2 (SO4) 3, O3, etc.)
  • Consult with customer management and technical counterparts including communications with other FSRs, Field managers, Environmental Health and Safety, sales, engineering, logistics, outside contractors and plant operators regarding equipment and operations regularly
  • Perform water analysis and collect samples for preparation, labeling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis
  • Perform daily testing that may include NTU, Hardness, Chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, Na, Conductivity, Silica, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and calibrate equipment per established process
  • Monitor equipment performance and operation 
  • Transfer data to Microsoft spreadsheets, make trending graphs, calculate equipment run length and throughput, interpret data and make necessary adjustments, notify appropriate personnel when changes are made, upload information into a common libraries, etc.
  • Maintain monthly reports (charts / graphs), monthly Safety audits, daily and/or weekly reports
  • Write work procedures, Job Safety Analysis, maintenance / repair schedules
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts; must have the ability to track usage, anticipate peek needs and balance inventory levels including inventory reconciliation and reordering
  • Ensure compliance of volume and quality per the customer’s contract specifications
  • Work with PLC controls, understand water process treatment design, and repair pumps, instruments and control panels
  • Be able to read and understand Process Flow Diagram (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Drawing (P&IDs)
  • Participate in on-site project management (start-up and commissioning), troubleshooting, Clean In Place, PVC repair, cut / glue up to, but not limited to 6" PVC, valve change outs, backwashing, air scrubbing, sluicing, chemical drum / tote change outs, filter bag and cartridge filter replacements, RO membrane replacements, basic electrical troubleshooting, etc. 

 

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent to High School Diploma 
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the water industry or in a related field (OR Minimum of 4 years of training (college, military, vocational / technical school))
