Oil and Gas

Overview:

Saudi Arabia holds the title as the world’s largest producer and exporter of total petroleum liquids, with an estimated 267 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, including 2.5 billion in the Saudi-Kuwaiti Neutral Zone, and 253 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of proven natural gas reserves. The crude oil industry in Saudi Arabia has been facing difficulties in recent months as oil prices continue to drop. Despite the rapidity of these changes to Saudi’s energy sector, the industry remains unaffected and strong at present. According to a 2015 Mondaq report, the nation’s petroleum policy will be directed towards both global oil markets as well as domestically towards expanding the nation’s economic base to promote energy efficiency and continuing a drive for greater industrialization. Therefore, job opportunities in this sector would involve not only local project, but also plenty of opportunities in global ones.
